Om een goede planning te maken zijn de volgende zaken van belang, waarbij uw promotiedatum bepalend is:

Inleverdatum van de boeken bij de universiteit
Een aantal weken voor uw promotiedatum dienen een aantal van uw proefschriften ingeleverd te worden bij het bureau van de Pedel of het College van Decanen op uw universiteit. Dit verschilt per universiteit en varieert van 2 tot 6 weken. Controleer dit bij uw universiteit.

Gewenste afleverdatum van de boeken
Normaal gesproken plannen wij de afleverdatum van uw boeken ongeveer 1 week voordat u uw boeken bij de universiteit moet inleveren.

Vormgeven
Voordat u een offerte kunt aanvragen zullen al een aantal gegevens duidelijk moeten zijn, waaronder het totale aantal pagina’s, het aantal pagina’s dat u in kleur wilt uitvoeren en de keuze of het een full colour omslag gaat worden. Om dit te kunnen bepalen zal de vormgeving al in een redelijk gevorderd stadium moeten zijn. Met vormgeven begint de productie van uw proefschrift.
Als u de vormgeving door ons wilt laten verzorgen, is het raadzaam om 4 maanden voordat u gaat promoveren een offerte aan te vragen.

Orderbevestiging
Het is verstandig om uiterlijk 3 maanden voor de verdedigingdatum de overeenkomst voor het uitgeven van uw proefschrift rond te maken. U kunt uw bestanden dan goed afstemmen op het productieproces.
Nadat u uw offerte bij Boekenplan heeft bevestigd, ontvangt u een orderbevestiging. Vanaf dat moment staat onze helpdesk klaar voor vragen en adviezen.


For proper planning the following issues are important and the date of your doctoral degree ceremony is the determining factor:

Return date of the books at the University
A few weeks before your graduation date, a number of your dissertations should be submitted to the Office of the Beadle or the Board of Deans at your university. This varies by university and ranges from 2 to 6 weeks. Check with your university.

Desired delivery date of the book
Normally we plan the delivery date of your book about 1 week before the final date of submission at the university.

Designing
In order to apply for a quote, a number of data are required, including the total number of pages, the number of pages printed in colour and whether the cover should be in full colour. To be able to determine this, the design will already be in a fairly advanced stage. Designing starts the production of your dissertation. If you want us to take care of the design, it is advisable to request a quote 4 months before your degree ceremony.

Order Confirmation
It is to be advised to confirm the agreement to publish your thesis at least 3 months before the defence date. You can then align your files to the production. Once the offer is confirmed by Boekenplan, you receive an order confirmation. From that moment onwards, our helpdesk is at your service for questions and advice.
